In compliance with Indian regulations, if you are selling products and services to customers globally, please review the following important information:

    • Any proceeds or earnings received into your PayPal account from the export of goods and services should be withdrawn to your bank account within 30 days.

    • While making the withdrawal please make sure you select the purpose code that best fits your business.

    • Any proceeds or earnings received into your PayPal account from the export of goods and services may only be withdrawn to your bank account in India. This received amount cannot be reused for making purchases.

    • If you would like to make purchases on any website that accepts PayPal, you can continue to use any credit card issued by a bank in India.

For any questions, please reach out to our customer support teams by following the steps below:

    1. Log into your PayPal account

    2. Click “Contact Us” at the bottom of the page

    3. Click on “Send Us” an email or “Call Us” to reach us by phone

We cannot thank you enough for your continued attention and patience.

    Hi,

this is too much, i think the Indian govt is putting all these regulations, fine they dont want anyone to do freelancing or do online business getting payments through paypal.
if they are not allowing to me to use my paypal fund paying others, then theres no use of paypal for me.

Just to add another thing I noticed is that when we click on the "Withdraw" link you will no longer see the option to withdraw amount to your Credit card option. I believe this has been implemented only for Indian User accounts, any other Indian users noticed this please re-confirm.

yes, they removed the option Withdraw funds to credit card, currently showing two options Withdraw funds to your bank account and Request a cheque from PayPal

What excatly Indian govt trying to do with this? but compelling to pay forex charges twice once making payment through credit card and other transferring PP funds back to india.

Shifting from Paypal also cannot help big, becoz the same Indian regulations will be applied all over. I don't think any best alternative to paypal.

We have to fight Indian regulations.

All Indian freelancers, Paypal users, its the time to make a fight.

    Let us make a group,
    make a plan,
    meet at a place,
    meet the people of RBI,
    explain them our concerns,
    and solve the issue.

Just decide the date and start this motion.

Regulatory authorities are trying to kill the paypal business model itself. This is what they do best. Paypal is the preferred option because everyone has it. What's the use of everyone having it if funds cannot be sent using paypal ?

this is really a pain in neck...
At times I dont have sufficient credit limit in my credit card but have enough money in paypal to pay my bills.
I wonder that sooner or later they would even go to the extension of saying "due to recent Indian regulations you can spend your hard earned online money only for buying toilet roll.." ???

However this new rule will help to keep proper accounts. You can deduct your expenses paid thru credit card against the income earned. Check out with your auditor...

This really makes me angry. Its my own money, I can do whatever I want. Who are they to decide whether to withdraw the money to bank or send it to anyone ? Why I cant use my balance to pay anyone ? Is it a black money that I am sending or I am paying to any wrong person ?
