Because this site is new, no I havent used anything other than article marketing. But ezines do post automatically to twitter any new articles.

Recently created sites tend to be ranked much higher. If you can keep it there after 6 months, then it will be really good news.

 

how much would you put it in percentage? Like 30% of anchor link, 30% Article link, 20% blog comment, 20% soical link.

That's great but don't stop. Get backlinks everyday and continue to add unique authoritative content. You might stay there.
I have found that if your prepared with all the stuff you did then do it fast that at launch the chances of staying there are better.

I joined a link exchange program, and get a lot of request for link exchange, but they are not relevant to my site. I have read where the links need to be relevant to your site. I keep refusing them.

It happens when u create a new website. Sometime after indexing new site suddenly comes in top of Google SERP's as we expected. But after sometime it might not come in top SERP's.

2 million competing sites is not a lot in the scheme of things and would not require a great deal of optimization.

Most competitive keywords have 40 million+ competing sites.
