Buying Schrock Innovations Seeks Experienced WordPress Programmer

Schrock Innovations is looking for a Wordpress/PHP coder for an upcoming project.

• What we need:

We need a coder who is experienced with Wordpress, and the PHP engine that drives Wordpress, and is proficient at creating a WordPress theme from a provided graphic layout.

The candidate must be professional, and adhere to strict deadlines that must be met with this project.

It is highly desired that the coder can utilize CSS to help with optimization of the site when loading.

• What the project entails:

The coder will be sent our predesigned theme in a .psd format. The theme is EXACTLY how the website will look, no modification is allowed. The coder will “slice” up the .psd layers and place them according to the theme design. Due to the timeline and efficiency needed for this project, the coder will be given FTP access and database credentials to install WordPress, associated plugins, and create the needed directories.

There will also be a page that is an ‘orphan’ page that does not have a link anywhere else on this site that can only be reached through a direct link through it. This page will contain a survey form that takes the information entered in by the visitor and sends it to an e-mail address. The form will contain several generic questions, and a free-text field for participants to pace commentaries in their own words if so desired.

A sub-domain with the same template theme will also be installed with the Wordpress interface. This sub-domain will be protected using the WordPress user authentication. There will be a static index page that asks a user to click on a link to classify themselves into 1 of 3 different categories. Depending on which one they click, it will redirect them to a meta-refresh page that increments a counter, and then forwards them to the category view of the section they are interested in.

I.E. ~ Category 1 click goes to Category 1 content.

There will need to be a back-end simple admin page to indicate the total number of current visitors by category for Month, Quarter, and Year.


Once the skeletal navigation, and place holder content is set up, content will come in piece by piece, and the coder will place it according to the theme layout, or the instructions provided with it.

• What we REQUIRE:

The following terms are non-negotiable, and if any candidate cannot meet them, they will be disqualified immediately from consideration of this project.

• Valid PayPal account, in the coder’s name.

• A valid MSN messenger account.

• A direct quick phone interview with the Web Development Director at Schrock Innovations.

• The candidate must speak and write fluent and proficient English, no electronic assisted devices are allowed.

• That the final deadline for this project MUST be met. Monetary penalties will be administered for each day beyond the deadline.

• Due to the nature of this project, absolute transparency is a must. If you wish to remain an anonymous coder, this project is not for you.

• There will be times that phone interaction with the Web Development Director is required. If the selected candidate lives outside the United States, the candidate will be expected to call when asked, as we are not set up for outgoing international phone calls.

At the same time as this project is being done, there will be a project that involves Database interaction and static PHP pages being inserted. The WP coder must understand and be aware of this, and not interfere with it. The same will be required of the other coder.


• What we OFFER:

We are looking for an efficient WordPress coder who is reliable, professional, and can work on any size project, and multiple projects at a time. This project will be used as a gauge as to whether or not the selected candidate is that individual we are looking for.

We anticipate a multitude of projects in the next year, most of them involving WordPress.

We can provide references of current and previous coders, and contact numbers to our office if desired by a candidate.

We always pay promptly as soon as projects are completed to specifications.

As stated, future work is a definite possibility based upon a number of different variables. You impress us with this project, and we will send more projects your way.

As the selected candidate will be working on our FTP directly, if a deposit is required for peace of mind of the coder, that is acceptable and negotiable.
