Hi guys, I have a CTR of 0.10% - I have played with blending with content which showed even lower CTR so went to standing out.. which has give me 0.10% (the highest I have got)..

What am I doing wrong? http://www.tattooleak.com/pages/home

    Thank you for your time.

The ads on the left side aren't relevant at all. Maybe thats why.

I like your placement. Try moving it around and experiment to see what gives you the best earnings.

Nice site you got there :)

    Here's my suggestion:

    - On your home page, there are 5 columns and 3 rows images of tattoo, you can try moving your Ad Link Unit between the 1st and 2nd rows
    - I noticed that your Ads links are color blue, green and black. Try to mimic the color scheme of your site.
    - Remove Adsense border (the green one)
    - Change the blue link to gray, same with your sites link
    - Change the white description to black
    - Change the green link to black
    - The background of the ads is black, change it to gray to blend with your site

That's all I can think of. Hope that helps :)

I agree the ads that show are not relevant...they were for papa johns pizza.....try text blocks sized 300 or 336 instead of image ads

I get best adsense results with text ads, maybe you need to try changing to text as trosquin has suggested above..

Try centering that link ad above the navigation bar. That will be a good placement.

Get rid of side ads they are not showing all relevant ads beside I have to scroll my browser side to side to see those ads that could be a problem for many visitors.
I would mess around with a large rectangle where it says 'anonymous uploader'

you cannot say need to , have to for adsenese.. each case is unique and if color works for you it doesn't mean that it will work for me. the best way to see is to test.

Everything would be perfect if you remove your image ads on left and right side. People don't like image ads. Place more text ads into your content, it will give you more clicks. Give it a try then you'll see the changes.

CTR depends upon a number of things including the type of traffic you are getting, color schemes, placement etc. On your website I had to look for ads as the color scheme wasn't standing out. Try changing it. You should also include ads on post pages.

You need to try A/B split testing. This is the only real way to know what works and what doesn't. If you do a bit of testing you'll definitely increase your CTR and make more cash. This is where the BIG hitters get it right. They just keep testing and make minor changes until they find the right combination.
