There are two sites A and B. Site A has original content while site B is copying content from A. Site B is cached first while site A cached later which site will be treated as a duplicate content site?

Good question. I think that Google can only prioritize what it measures. If site B is cached first, Google will see site A as duplicate content. This is why its so important to publish content to your site first and give if a few days to be cached by the Google search spider.

if I m not wrong then Google will not penalize A because Google will check Server update time for content?

I was ranked number 2 on google for my Post ( lets call it Post A )..i kept checking the SERPS, and i was still on number 2.. All of the sudden, the guy who was like number 9 ( Post B ) while i was on number 2, had become number 1 on that same search, while POST A was not even on the 10 th page.. i think Post A was "de-indexed" by Google.. I was like WTF, and i clicked on Post B to check what that guy did to come number 1... And BOOM..!! ALL The text in there was EXACTLY SAME as mine!!! apart from removing the two links that i gave on my post, everything else was EXACTLY COPY paste..!!

First of all, i posted before him and was ranked higher than him

Secondly, He copies me and gets ranked higher than me

Thirdly, I get De-indexed!!!!!?!?! If he was number 1 and i was number 2, thats it still kind of okey with me.. But seriously.. i dont know what is wrong with google!!

It' backlinks that matter.. google trust a website based on how much it's "chosen" by weighting backlinks from authority sites and other formulas..
sometimes duplicate contents showed altogether in search results..

For an example try to type this in google : "Fix your terrible, insecure passwords in five minutes"
you can never tell which one the original, but you can tell whcih one is cached first ( that is in many cases not always the #1 )

Due to fast cache update of site b site a will be treated as a duplicate content site.

The site with lower trust in Google will be treated as a duplicate content. It's not fair but that's my personal experience.
Old established domains with years of history in Google will always outrank you even if they copy your content.

I have once published a duplicate site which got 15k visitors per day. Then within two months I was down to 500, presumably because google took 2 months to detect this.

I thInk its because google give much priority to the site that has the most number of back links. Suppose if site A is original and the site B is duplicate and Site B has the most number of quality back links then site B will rank higher then site A. Also the site which is cached first matters but ultimately, backlink is the king over everything, content, domain name or even off page optimizations.

Well in my case, that other blog was new and had only 3 back links.. i swear!!!!!! i have around 700 - 1200 backlinks.. he copied me, he got ranked higher than me ( even though i was cached before him ), and my post later got de-indexed / removed from google :$

Some replies are really interesting and useful for me to know more about duplicate content. If anyone have matt cutt's interview site link about duplicate content related with my question then please publish here. It will help to clear all doubts about duplicate content.
