Try to generate legal traffics and legal clicks on your blogs..Blogspot work same as TLD (.com, .net, .org etc.) So no need to buy domains. Here are the few tips which I'm using:

1) Try to update your blog every day or twice in a day with unique, fresh and informative content if possible.
2) Submit that particular posts to do-follow bookmarking or social networking (twitter, facebook, orkut, myspace etc) site.
3) Get backlinks from quality directories (it would be best if it will be from niche specific)
4) Target specific keywords and write over it.
5) Don't put adsense until you published 60+ posts OR 1k+ traffics a day.

I do have a blogger blog and I have so far earned around $4. Basically I am failing to draw traffic to my blog. I know that. I tried few things but yet not successful. Blogspot's great for a new blogger. I started out with one years ago. I suggest you look into how to properly carry out niche keyword research.

If you optimize your blog to the right keyword Google will show you love and send you the traffic. Choose the wrong keyword and you are wasting time and effort!
