OMG! And you're offering SEO services?...

It is not clear from your question, what is the problem. Do you check the bakclinks with the link: operator? Or you don't see your site for some particular keyword?

PM me your link and I will check it, but most of the time you are searching the wrong way.
don't type http://www.site.com on the search box
just type in site.com it's a common problem in fact it's not a problem at all it's your fault.
if it still not shown, open an account here:
    https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/home?hl=en
and apply for a revision from google after adding your site, they well check it to make sure it's clean and get it back to the index.
    bye bye

So it will reduce competition for the home page to appear for the keyword YourWebSite ?
You are saying that he must build a lot of things to appear in search engine results for that keywords and his home page will have even lesser chances to appear on top if the other page somehow got ranked. Nice SEO555.

@rimple: There is one simple tip to do that. Put a link in the footer of each page of your website with anchor text as name of your website and link to the home page of your website. This must provide enough internal backlinks to rank the home page on the top at least when your website name is searched.
It wont work instantaneously assuming that your website has not high PR. Also in due course of time, you have to keep building links to your home page to make it rank high for even more keywords.

You should Start off page work. You have no more data in google so google can not show domain at first link.

I Think your website is not indexing on that search engine. You can do off page SEO tasks for that like search engine submission, oneway linking etc... It would help to reduce the problem.
