Page Rank Update???

Does anyone have any idea when the next Google PageRank update will be? Is it on a certain day of a certain month or something or every 3 months or something? I did a little looking around and I haven't seen anything on what method is used to decide when to update.

It will be tomorrow at 1:11pm PST. If it is not, I will eat a sandwich for lunch and then have a Gatorade.

LOL. Mike, the people at DP are actually some of the best I have come across on the web. If you looked through the Google forum, you would probably find that the question you asked is the subject of at least 10% of the threads in it.

I have seen a lot of wierdness in the PR's for the past few weeks.. if you check mcdar's q-check tool, there are some pages in flux such as both pr6 and pr8 and it's not going away. In general when I've seen it, it always for the higher one that I suspect it is old. For instance, a site dropped from pr8 to pr6 a few months ago. Now the pr8 re-appeared recently on some of the datacenters. Anyone else notice this for any pages?

Seems like there has been an update every 3-4 months since last year's June, so there might be another update this month. But as everyone here says - your guess is as good as anyones, and mine is of course too.

Anyone know of an algorithm update change record? I've searched and searched and can only find old or incomplete records. By "algorithm" here I simple mean the major updates to the ranking algorithm - which may/may not coincide with BL and PR updates.

I, as many other people, feel that while the PR and BL updates are nice to see - the weight of those two is factored in long before the visual representations of the PR toolbar image and link: command it Google are shown/updated.

 

Chachi, if you want to go a step further, here is my cure all for colds and it has never failed (*I am not a doctor, but have found this to work very, very well). You take 2 cap fulls of nyquil and mix it with one ounce of whiskey-rye (I prefer Crown Royal)... You drink that down and when you wake up a day or two later after the coma, you are all better. If not, rinse and repeat....

 

I think the reason google is taking so long with this update is so that they can begin to implement parts of their new patent.

But I think their patent has some serious issues that need to be ironed out before it is all complete.
