Yahoo almost as big as Google?

Yahoo has more traffic than Google in terms of usage (like yahoo hotjob, yahoo mail, etc.,) but if we are talking about search engine yahoo now holds less than 10% probably 3%.

Yahoo already sold some of its money making machine like hotjob, and search engine, looks like it will be the next AOL to go bankrupt.

 

I read an article in the Daily Mail (UK) but it's a little misleading as I think it factors in page views not just pure domain hits.

People tend to go to Google for something specific and leave as opposed to Facebook where they'll repeatedly check back to see who has been poked, pushed or photographed.

It also doesn't take into account any of Google's services such as Gmail or Youtube etc, so whilst I think Facebook could be instrumental in changing Social search, they'll never replace the G.

I'm geting 10-15 unique visiter from yahoo daily and 200-300 UV from Google. Bings contribution is merely 3-7.

 

May be Yahoo is including traffic from China.
You know China has 4 times the population of US and Yahoo don't have problem with China government like Google does.

Google people work proactively.. and they are way ahead of their competitors and in fact they don't have any competition in the first place.. its only a myth if you think yahoo and msn are their competition.. lol..

I think he read it wrong, (the traffic to Yahoo is bigger than Google) but not for search engine. For search engine Yahoo is nothing compared to Google.

But overall many people uses Yahoo for other things. Most do not use yahoo for search engine.

Do you know google is world's largest search engine but google is not coming in the first possession in it self. Example -: If you search " search engine " on google you not get google in top 10. acording to the google " bing " is the no one search engine .

Well from what I understand Google gets a lot of their traffic from people searching some type of information, while Yahoo is used a lot for news and that sort of thing...Both are very large search engines. I prefer yahoo for PPC over google
