    Hello,

I have successfully installed a theme on my blog, but I cannot figure out how to create/modify a header. Any suggestions/resources I could use to help me work through this?

    Thanks!

Open header.php file of the theme directory and modify it.

You probably need to set the file permissions to 666 or 777.

Do you mean to modify the theme's included header or a self-created header? You can go to youtube and search for "creating headers" and get some really good videos on the subject. When I need to know something new that is the first place I look.

If you want to create a custom header you'll need to create the header image to the same dimensions to the header image that's probably located in your themes images folder (probably named Header.jpg), just replace it. Or modify the css files to the right height (you can also rename it). I have photoshop, but I normally use GIMP (free) to create the custom header.
