Get book recommendations from someone knowledgable. Theres alot of junk out there so thats why you gotta search around the net and find out what authors are respected. Like someone already said, you can learn many things just from reading the forums but you gotta sift through alot of scams here as well.

Keep reading and always stay on top of the current marketing techniques. I have been doing this for several years and continue to learn something new all the time/ Good luck!

Although there is a lot of crap out there, you can still find good e-books on the subject.

I always chuckle at noobs who say that they do not read e-books (as if they do not need to *rolls eyes*), yet their sites are still dead in the water.

    Yes, READ e-books!

I would suggest that you contact the writer of a certain e-book you are interested in in getting him to send you samples from it. If they are not very good, there is your answer.

In addition to giving away a lot of free tips from my e-book on my site to show I have experience in marketing and advertising, I also provide even more if they send me an e-mail asking for such.

A reputable person should do this.

If you haven't already, I would also suggest buying books from your local bookstores and Amazon (Hell, you can look through them for free at the stores). If you do not like them, simply return them.

It will take time (research time), but you will find some very good books to get you on your way.
