Sale for a product that I didn't promote

Discussion in 'ClickBank' started by eroker, Mar 22, 2010.

Ok I looked at my clickbank page today and noticed that I received a sale for a product that I don't think I ever promoted. I do promote the product, but it has a tracking id on it, the sale that I got had no tracking ID. Is it possible for a tracking ID to not be registered? Or is it a glitch in the system?

Ha, now im confused. You are totally contradicting yourself here "I don't think I ever promoted" - "I do promote the product"

I just wish it would happen to me :)

Obviously CB has been monkeying with their order form. Maybe it just fell into your lap, lucky dog.

And? So you got paid. You can't track it... you might have you might not have. What is the point? You don't know?

Someone might've gone through your aff link with the tracking id, left the landing page and came back with the cookie? Or do cookies hold the tracking id too?

He said he promotes the product with a tracking ID and he made a sale that had no tracking ID on it.

I made a legitimate guess as to why that happened. Next time, how about you read the thread and post something useful

That's pretty much what happened. The customer didn't buy at the first visit, they returned later and made a purchase, this why the affiliate still got the commission but no tracking.
It happened to me to get sales with 0 HOPS... same principal.
