Google Caffeine seems like it will be the new future of internet navigation, replacing the regular Google search, just as GPS units replaced the compass. Not only are there faster search results in the new Google Caffeine, the SE also has better accuracy to bringing more relevant searches, to what users are looking for. People who have been studying the new SE find it focuses on more detailed and relevant keywords, taking more information of each website and webpage into consideration, to help it show up at the top results of the SE.

The caffeine update is currently off and on on one data center, but nobody seems to know which one. They had a subdomain a few months ago for all of us to test it, but they since closed it. I compared regular searches vs caffeine and I saw no difference in my niche.

William, for the cloud computing, I was reading about that last week, I believe this is a brand new concept that will take a while to create. They were talking about possibly creating some sort of hub where we would all notify Google of new content, but instead of us pinging them and they come crawl, we would just send the data directly to them. I wish I remember what the source was so I could share it with you.

One well documented feature is that change that was noticeable in the search return time when using caffeine In numerous tests it returned results in nearly half the time and Google have said they will put added kudos on sites that load fast.

Google’s launching a new, upgraded version of its search engine soon. And just as important, the search giant released the developer’s preview of it today. Google promises that the new search tool (codename “Caffeine”) will improve the speed, accuracy, size, and comprehensiveness of Google search.

While the developer version is a pre-beta release, it’s completely usable. Thus, we’ve decided to put the new Google (Google) search through the wringer. We took the developer version for a spin and compared it to not only the current version of Google Search (Google search), but to Bing (Bing) as well.

The categories we tested the new search engine on are as follows: speed, accuracy, temporal relevancy, and index size. Here’s how we define those:

Speed: How fast can the new search engine load results?

Accuracy: Which set of results is more accurate to the search term?

Temporal Relevancy: Is one version of search better at capturing breaking news?

Index Size: Is it really more comprehensive than the last version of Google

Google announced the rollout of new search architecture, codenamed "Caffeine”. The new architecture was designed to return results faster and to better deal with rapidly updated information from services including Facebook and Twitter.
This new infrastructure may include ways of crawling the web more comprehensively, determining reputation and authority (possibly beyond the link graph and what’s typically thought of as PageRank), and returning more relevant results more quickly,

Yes, Caffeine is big on social sites. As if I needed to expand any more...I registered for a friendfeed account because Caffeine loves that.
How many services does one really need??!! Seriously, it's social overload. But, you must do what you must do to play by Google's rules. =(

As of now there are many rumors that Google Caffeine isn't launched yet. I think I will believe on that rumor.

I only know about Google Caffeine that it is now faster than before. It will not effect website's rank.
