Do You Understand the term "brown nosing"? Do you detest that sort of behaviour?

Brown nosing is another term for "creeping" and flattering people undeservedly. It makes my skin crawl. It is not that I don't like to compliment people when I feel a compliment is deserved but that I prefer people to speak their minds. I object to creeps or brown nosers mainly on the basis that they are dishonest and you cannot trust their opinion. Do you have any thoughts on brown nosers?

I get the joke but I've never associated one with the other - strange that. To me an s*** head is a simply nasty person whereas brown nosers are just weak, annoying and insipid. The worst thing a through and through brown noser can do is, in rushing to the defence of one of the people they choose to brown nose (for example the leaders of businesses, communities, governments and pop stars), is s*** stir and inflate over inflated egos. Let's hope the latter pop.

 

Yes, I work with quite a few of them in my office LOL. I just want to throw something at them and screaming 'ENOUGH ALREADY SHUT UP" You can brown nose all you want but if you suck at your job, it is going to show (no matter how much butt kissing you do)

 

lol... You're thinking too hard into the meanings of the terms. Think literally for a moment... If one is getting their nose brown, and their depth perception is off... and they stick their nose in and up too far, then what happens? Their head is all the way up their, not just their nose, hence a head covered in sh*t, or a Sh*t Head.

yes brown nosers are the worse and alot of the time there the guys who will get the promotions. But usually there the most hated people in the work place.

 

I don't detest it but I don't condone it either. I think that it's pretty easy to spot when someone is brown nosing you.

 

Dealing with brown nosers is quite simple. First give them false information about the achievements of the person they brown nose most often. Then stand back and watch the fun. The brown nose will congratulate their target for something s/he hasn't done, couldn't do and (hopefully) has embarrassingly failed at. Really, this works every single time.

 

Noticing that someone is brown nosing you or someone else doesn't make it any less pleasant. In fact, the more they do it the more excruciating it becomes to witness

 

I saw this threads title and immedietely thought a "brown nose" was a lewd action that could be performed.

 

You were wrong then as a brown nose is the worst sort of embarrassing, gushing, sycophantic creep

How do you know? Do you witness the daily gush of a brown-nosing trollop?
