SEO Powersuite vs IBP

Discussion in 'Search Engine Optimization' started by ebizmom, Mar 17, 2010.

    Hi

I am looking to purchase n seo software that will help me with my seo strategies. I will still be doing seo myself but thought a software can help me with time consuming things like looking for potential links and reporting them. I have done my research and i am tossing up between IBP or SEO Powersuite. Any reviews, suggestions of opinions?

I would suggest IBP, but you cannot depend only on that tool

I have to chime in here.

I have been using IBP for the last 3 years. I have used it on my own sites and for clients. NONE, and I repeat, NONE of our sites were penalized for using IBP. To this day I still have over 30 projects that are scheduled to submit to the Search Engines every 3 months.

I have also used IBP to perform ALL directory submissions as it has an excellent auto form filler. Best part is you can add up to 6 descriptions and titles for a site in IBP and it will rotate between them. You can even add your own directory lists which is a great option to ensure your list stays current and only contains valid directory sites that are worth submitting to.

Keyword manager is also a great tool. Search and filter your keywords for each of your projects.

The optimizer report allows you to compare your page to competitors pages. Then provides you with suggestions to change to compete with your competitors in an easy to read report.

Rankings report is also a great tool.

All these tools can be scheduled to run automatically when you are away from your computer. And best of all the reports can be customized based on project and can be exported from the software in html, pdf, text, or doc format. Or choose to have the software send the customized report directly to your clients via email when they have completed.

I do have to add this is not the only tool I use. But it is a great tool especially if you are just beginning. Easy to set up and get moving on optimizing your site. I strongly suggest using IBP.

I hate to sound like a salesman for IBP, but it's an awesome tool that's worth every penny. I've been using it for years, and never got a site banned so don't worry about that.

That being said, you can't rely on just one piece of software to meet all your SEO needs. The software can assist you by saving time or pointing things out you weren't aware of, but much of SEO is still education, and no software will do it all.

I've used those software before and it helps when it comes to seo, but for me doing it manually is the most reliable and most effective way of producing positive and long time result.

I am looking at both as well, mainly for the reporting aspect. I do almost all my submissions manually, with that in mind would anyone suggest either of these two software package or something else. Once again I am looking for the automate reporting.

Since I do manual in most of my seo tasks the free version of Link Assistant just works fine for me.

I would recommend IBP instead of SEO Powersuite. You should try them both in trial version and you will know why. :)
