Motivation is not permanent, it is like bathing. It is something that you need to work on constantly. Just by investing 20 minutes a day reading a good educational book, you will have read 22 200 page books by the end of the year. If you wanted to become a chef right now, wouldn't you read cook books, and make sure that you get around other people that have achieved or are looking to achieve the same goal that you are? The same is done with network marketing. There is not enough time in your life to learn everything, so you should take the information that other people already have. There are millions of success books out there, who knows, maybe one line in just one of the books can just hit you the right way and change your life forever. Knowledge is power. You get paid what you are worth in this industry. So invest in yourself, don't limit yourself. Make yourself priceless God Bless, Dayton Anderson
This is true. I think biography are really good. Sam Waltons was really really good, I Am right now reading Blackberry
I completely agree with this, but I would like to extend the idea of just reading a good book. To be good at marketing, you need to do a few things: (1) Know what's going on around you in the world, (2) Know what people want, (3) Know how to sell it to them, and (4) Get out there and SELL IT TO THEM! A fisherman knows everything about bait, tackel and lures but who doesn't fish will never catch a single fish.
You are correct motivation is short lived, that internal drive to live the life you want is what will carry you through. Knowledge eliminates many of the fears people face when doing anything new or are trying to expand your business.
Got nice tips here. Motivation, knowledge and power. These are 3 powerful words that motivate us to gain some knowledge.
I don't think that "knowledge is power", "will to power" and "will to knowledge" (and all the others things Nietzsche thought about) is up to date anymore, because you get it everywhere - internet, television, mobile phones... Today a person with a smartphone can get more knowledge in minute than one person in a lifetime a hundred years ago. Today there is too much knowledge and the point is not to know something (that's easy with our technical gadgets), but to decide what is important and what not - that is our main task in present times in my opinion.
I quite agree with you. Specially in IM people think there is some magic button which they will automatically make money. And when they found out IM is not that easy they loose all motivation. By the way: Its even better to have someone to kick your ass whenever you are down in dumps.
I think translate your illustration to reading articles online, we would have read 22,200 articles if we really put in the effort to read.
Boy you couldn't be more right about that. The more you know, the more you can make online. All the big time gurus have a vast amount of Internet Marketing knowledge and now they are making a killing at it. $50,000 to $100,000 per product launch. They can be an inspiration to others
I think if I read 22,200 articles I would go insane and lose all direction. Pick something you want to do... make a start, if you don't get results you're looking for then find out what you're missing. Action, Action, Action... not Procrastination Use knowledge for motivation and direction... knowledge is intangible and we live in a very tangible world.
