my keyword ranking on google has gone away

recently in last 2 weeks google has removed all my keyword ranking.
earlier it was ranking exceptionally well on various keywords.
has this happened to someone else also.
why has this happend.
i host on godaddy.

 

Evaluate what all activities you have done in last one month. Is there anything you did to spam search engines or getting links from zeor PR website.

If you have not done any spamming then start writing new content for those keywords and hopefully keywords will get ranked in Google again.

This happened to me last year I had to write new content and wait it out again.

 

If it was just a slippage in your position.. then you could have got it back with renewed efforts... but since it appears to be a complete loss, I agree with the above poster to introspect your last month's activity to see what could be the reason for google becoming suspicious!

Yes... I can say it looks like it happened to me as well... I too was ranking very well for my keywords and was actually fluctuating from the 1st to the 3rd back to the 1st page of Google. My Webmaster Tools was also showing that I had over 4,000 backlinks, now its only showing that I have just under 800. So, now I'm fluctuating in between pages 7 and 9.

This really sux!

So, looks like I'm back to square 1 again; Building backlinks, which is not a problem, but where the heck did everything go that I did in the past?

 

How many keywords are we talking about and what type of ranking for each? First page, first positions?

I doubt they have removed all keyword rankings, they dont manually do this, its either a shift in something or a penalization.

 

I feel its penalization but not sure if its correct.
2 weeks back i started bookmarking my pages to various book mark site. could it be an issue?

 

I assume its Google dance, keep on updating your site and build backlinks..

 

It's a Google algorithm update. You will see others complaining about the loss of their ranks as well. Keep your eyes open to the large SEO/Webmaster related websites which will discuss this algorithm change in the near future.

 

Have you checked you Google webmaster to see if your back links have dropped? Maybe some of your link have been identified as spam?

 

yes my 300+ backlinks are dropped.

Sometimes my new website's key words disappear and I can't find any of them. but some times later. It come back. I just don't know what's happening.

 

Poor back links can be the reason. The websites you have linked their activity can affect you indirectly.

 

try adding fresh and new contents and I think your competitors are doing batter than you

 

I don't think Social Bookmarking will hurt your website.... If this the case then any one can hurt any one websites....Just watch few 1-2 week for your website...My site is stable since Jan 2010. There is no gain no drop for me.

 

First of all, let me tell you that my rankings in google have not yet completely gone. However it has been reduced in some extent, infact since last month. I guess Google is having some big change in their alogorithm, thatz the reason the pages dont get indexed soon, less traffic and the backlinks have also not yet updated.

All of these things I am facing since last month.

 

This is quite normal. But just keep on getting backlinks and you may again start getting good position. One of my website fluctuates like Britney spears mood. On one day its no 1 other day it get lost in darkness of web. So don't worry you are just another victim of google dance.

 

It might just be the google dance that you're experiencing, it's happening to us all, all should return to normal soon... Just make sure you haven't been doing any shadey, and if not, sit tight.
