wow, signature links do give you a boost

I recently did a signature link exchange with another person on this forum (about a week ago). I recently went to go look at my site's ranking and it must have jumped up 20 positions! Not too bad.

Doing digital point signature link exchanges are definitely the way to go!

 

I also believe that signature link will help you a lot if you are expert in creating thread that stays top on forums.

 

It will be a short term oost. Once you start, you have to keep on going.

 

DP pages indexed super fast. you should post often to keep it up.

 

Forum posts do help quite a bit but yes you have to be a regular poster to keep it up.

 

You should look more deeper. Forum link helps, but not much to make your site jump on 20 positions, well i guess it depends how competitive the keyword is.

i agree that you will see a quick boost, but I am not sure about jumping 20 positions within search engines unless you are in a very low competitive keyword niche. Also, could just doing a google dance...either way, continue and good job but I wouldn't expect same results all the time

 

It depends of the keyword , if your target is top 10 for 'i won the future marathon in Iasi city' meaning a low competitive keyword, its useless. Sig links dont got that much juice , but yes , the dp forum is one of the best forums when it comes to valuable sig links.

 

I can't see there being a difference between 100 sig links and 1000 from the same URL...interesting though

 

must of been a low competion keyword because isnt DP only a pr4 something like that

 

they help a fair bit in terms of traffic ive found, i still dont know how to check what keywords and what position im in for them?

Signature links do give a boost but I think only a handfull of links are counted by most SE's. I have 2 script generated sites with thousands of pages and as an experiment I place a link to another one of my sites on the bottom page. When i did and continue to do a backlink check all I generally see at most is 4-6 links. I know all links are not reported but it is always the same links.

 

I haven't thought of doing a signature link exchange on a forum before, how long did you do the exchange for out of interest?

 

I've never used them before.....looking into expanding my Offsite SEO tactics though so I'm hoping to try.

 

I totally agree with you. There must have been other factors instead of Signature links. Google look at how the links are coming from and from which source. In itself signature links are just a part of the total link building strategy
