I vote for mid to late October (3 to 4 months seems to be the average).

It will sure be a shame if that case against Google causes them to get rid of page rank. If you do not know what I am referring to, I guess a large site was deindexed and sued Google. Google won round 1 but it sounds like the appeal is saying that the algorithim is not the reason they were deindexed (which is why google won round 1) but rather it was an individual that made the decision. If Google loses this then rumor has it they will turf the page rank indicator we all so love for our link building.

I say it could even happen in late September now that they have upgraded to bigger and faster computers.

Heard about the case, but not the loss of PR rumor. That would suck big time.

To stay on topic, I'm hoping for a PR update in Late September because I have a few sites I want to sell. Realistically I'm betting on mid-October.

It's bad enough that rankings change daily or even hourly. So I'm kind of glad that toolbar PR is rarely updated. Otherwise SEOs would never get any sleep. It will change whenever Google feels like it, and I'm happy with that.

PR has little to no relation to the traffic or quality of a site. If only people wouldn't act as though it did, we could ignore it completely.

Tiresome thread for an over asked question, before starting another thread on this same subject, why do members not look for similar threads and post on the live threads that deal with the same subject

I started a thread recently and it was deleted by the mods and the content combined was combined into the similar thread

I was more than comfortable with that action by the mods, because I could read all the info on 1 single thread

All accessible from the same source and location

Much better for Digital Point Forum members to use!!!
