Why do earnings double some days?

Once or twice a month I get a real spike in earnings, sometimes almost double, yet impressions/clicks remain the same Be happy if everyday was like yesterday, more than double. Do others have days like these which don't make sense? And is there any tecniques to keeping the earnings that high throughout the month?

Yeah man!! everyday is not Friday!!
It happens often....you can figure out the reason of possible spike if you use Google Analytics or other analysis tool.
Know the reason and try to improve!!

Well, up to this very day, no one really knows Google Adsense' arithmetic regarding impressions/clicks. Let's just consider ourselves lucky if we experience this. Lol. That's good for you!

 

No questions are dumb questions, unless they are purely for spamming purposes

One of my sites have been generating $0.20 - $0.50 per click consistently but a couple of weeks ago I got $2.60 from one single click. That's just lucky.. you don't always get the top bidders ad.

there is no such thing called dumb question. not all of us have the same skill set otherwise we all would be making millions (i'm couple of pennies short myself )

@OP, you get paid based on how much advertisers are willing to bid on a specific term on a given day. for the same kw, same advertiser will pay different each day, even different hours of the day. all depends on how many competitors are there targeting the same kw and how much they are bidding. you get a fraction of the revenue google gets from the advertisers

 

advertisers differs for each ads and quality of click matters too ie an american click is not the same value as xxx countrys'.
