Best Free Things On The Internet

I have found many free things on the internet so thought it might be nice to share some with you.

What are the best free things you have found on the internet? Also why are they great free thing you have found on the internet?

First there is Linux and specifically Ubuntu and Debian Linux

The reason for this is that they are free alternatives to Windows.

Next there is Kompozer which is a free alternative web authoring editor that can be used by those who cannot afford Dreamweaver or do not want to use cracked/illegal versions of Dreamweaver.

Next is the very obvious WordPress which speaks for it's self and is an excellent option for a website & that has many addons and themes and quite possibly the best free software or blogging software to be more precise on the net.

Next there is Easy Thumbnails which is a very useful tool for making thumbnails or just for resizing images.

There are many free shopping cart softwares like OSCommerce and Zen Cart etc that can be easily made to look very individual, but my personal favourite is PrestaShop a french made shoppping cart that comes looking very nice in it's default version.

Ok that's a few to get this thread started, I know many more but should give others a chance to list some of the great free things they have come across on the internet.

The best and the most important thing for me... found free on the internet is the e-mail services offered by the likes of google and Yahoo!

I presently have all my email redirecting to free email services so I can make not only free use of their service but also free use of their security measures, which saves me opening up any dodgy emails on my PC.

 

The internet is a powerful tool to share freebies. It is natural that there are some benevolent people to share good things with others. Most of the time, I download free softwares and utilize the email service.

I'm going to generalize & say, all the free forum softwares & free mods to go with them, smf, phpbb, punbb etc etc.

Security & cleaners: ccleaner, a-squared, advanced system care, iobit security.

And to further generalize my answer, all the free to use social media which you can advertise with bringing you much business, eg's social bookmarking sites & facebook, twitter, craiglist & web directories.

Also free online newspapers when you've missed a physical copy, don't live local or don't want to buy one.

Free skype-to-skype calls.

Msn & yahoo messenger

Google chat

Sites that provide you with free tv shows.

And lastly which sums things up, information, well almost, except for paying your connection bill. There's much nonsense out there but a lot of good stuff which when you read can in some cases change your life & all for free!

 

The best thing I ever found on internet is Google and Wikipedia.. search and it is there..
