I'm surprised by the negative reactions, given that Jeff has such a good track record for promoting his other directories. Just check out his other directories like avivadirectory

 

What I did on my Ask directory I added categories and at least 1 authoritative site for most of then and changed the template so it only shows categories that have at least 1 listing, so if a visitor wants to submit the category is already there, but there are no empty categories when you browse the directory, I hate directories with lots of empty categories..
Onlinedude people don’t understand the huge cost of running one quality directory, you can ask whatever you think is fair value the market will judge.

Onlinedude i'm not knocking the directory just trying to find out your logic for such high prices with a new directory with no pr..didn't know that you own AvivaDirectory. GOOD LUCK!

 

Apahcinc looks nice. Also agree that his avivadirectory is doing extremely well for those who are already listed. I would submit to it if I was not so stretch for cash.
