3 questions in 1: Customized page template, improving upload speeds and ajax error

I am using a wordpress template for http://www.njretoday.com

    Question 1:
I would like to create static pages where I can remove the side bars,
keep the same header and top level navigation menu, but have the page formatted so the context that I add takes up the entire page. I have able to remove the sidebar and create a page like so: http://njretoday.com/buy/you-pick-three-special/ but the text still appears as if there are sidebars, which is what I don't want.

Question 2: My home page uploads slowly and I can't figure out why. I contacted Godaddy (my hosting provider) and they mentioned that it was more than likely one of my plugins slowing the site down. Is there a way to test upload speeds? I did remove inactive plugins and uninstalled and reinstalled one by one to see any one plugin affected the site upload speeds. I wasn't able to determine if there was a pattern or if one plugin was the cause.

Question 3. On our business diretcory page, http://njretoday.com/nj-business-directory/ if you select a category, I get a popup that says: an ajax error has occured, please reload the page, yet the results that come up are the ones I want the user to see. Can you suggest a way to correct? Is this a popup that I can simply remove from coding?

    Bonus Question:

When I view the source code for the site, I see that the template information comes before any of my meta data and keywords. Does this hurt my site when bots come to read the info?

Your feedback would be much appreciated! I can compensate you for your time and expertise if you provide me with an answer that resolves my problem.

How about the upload speeds? If anyone can help with that, I would greatly appreciated it.

#1: You need to create a separate div ID for the no-sidebar page and include that in the page template instead of the one defined for the sidebar. It could be something as simple as changing the width.
#2: Everyone I know that uses GoDaddy has had terrible load times. I .. hate.. GoDaddy.
    #3: Cant' duplicate your problem.

    Bonus: No

Ok, so I am not sure what div ID means. I have a love hate relationship with godaddy and I am thinking of changing hosting providers. I just don't know how to transfer over my files. not that tech savvy.

#3 is fine. We might just use another business directory plugin.
