Hi DP members, I have had a set of drives installed for a couple of years now, like e:, f:, g:, h:, I:. When I plug a USB into the port it shows as j: and that works. I was once able to insert my SD card to transfer data, that does not work anymore and I am not sure which drive that was. Anyway, I have tried to google the issue but I must be asking the wrong question. Is someone able to tell me how to 1. check that the drive is active. 2. That its working.

    Dills.

    Hi There

Right click My Computer and select Manage then select Disk Management.

Then go through the list of drives / partitions shown and make sure you can open / explore them.

    Regards

sometimes I also have experienced problems like that, but you must take is .. 1). note the settings on your bios correctly 2). make sure you install the drivers did not experience crashes with the operating system you use .. because I know, that the latest drivers do not always have a good performance, even not rarely crashes
