    Even though you have good ranking on yahoo, it is not enough, Because most of the people are prefer to search on Google. so you need to work towards Google.

    that happens when you have site-wide backlinks from a few bigger sites and yahoo just counts the number of backlinks and not their quality.

    I used to rank poor on Google but well on Yahoo! and Bing. I added 20 pages of quality content and built some really good backlinks. Ta-da! My website is now ranking #1 for all the keywords I'm targeting.

    yahoo and google have similar algorithms, but different at some point. surely you scored best in yahoo by scoring better in one of those differences.

    Yes me too. Two of my 'hardly-maintained' sites ranked top 5 for two high-volumed terms that are related to ipad and google nexus one. It really shocked me.

    It hardly get such results in Google.

    Any idea?

    Google and Yahoo uses of different algorithms for ranking results in some factors. So you should not expect of them to bring same traffic for your site.

    Google, yahoo, Bing etc search engine is using his algorithms, so you can get good ranking in yahoo or bong, but the google is best search engine.

    Yahoo and Google are two different search engines with different algorithms, and they rank sites differently. You might get good ranking in Yahoo but the traffic you generate from it is not that high. It's better to focus on Google.
