means its not different Like google provide one toolbar you can see PR in toolbar also yahoo provide personal toolbar. if you use PR checker software or toolbar its not matter bcz both are same working

There is no differnece between both of them. PR means page rank and the tool helped to check that PR is known as PR tool so how they both can be distingiused as they both are interrealted to each other.
