Windows 7 is far better then any other windows os. just my 2 cents. If you want extreme stability go for linux but dont whine they are hard to use after that.

Quoting the title's thread "Windows7 is not good at all!!!!!"

Obviously, both Vista and Windows7 are meant for newbies who never tried another OS before

The best OS from Microsoft is Windows NT, after that I think Windows 7 way better than Vista and slightly better than XP

I recently upgraded from Windows XP (I was an avid user) and I find Windows 7 wonderful. It is much more user friendly than XP so I fail to see why you have problems in finding My Computer and My Documents. As for slowing your machine down you can always disable some of the effects by right clicking Computer and going to Properties > Advanced system settings > Settings (under Performance).

I thought that windows 7 will be slower than xp , but it isn't . Still , I cannot say that 7 is far better than xp , but is more "eye catching" .

What exactly does windows xp offer that windows 7 doesn't? I think Microsoft nailed down Windows 7, I have been impressed.

i am using windows 7 for 4 month now and i have no problem with it, but absolutely impressed with it. If you have problem, that maybe because of your computer is old (some people also says win7 has problem with laptops, so try to contact microsoft for more info what is the best for your laptop) or you are using cracked/alpha version of win7. I have no problem at any type with windows 7.

You, sir, are an idiot. You can't say a software is shit, just because you don't know how to use it. Use your brain, obviously it is different from XP. Even if you can't be bothered to learn how to use it, format it and install XP!

I think Windows 7 is nice, just Google "Windows xp mode" to run windows xp while running Windows 7. "
hootoo" It think you just may need to get used to Windows 7 because you are so use to Windows XP anything else fells like a waste of time

TOO DAMN HEAVY FOR AN OS !!!
when I run win7 I can't use anything else... It's good only for people whose can conclude their computer utilization as using WINDOWS... anyone else shouldn't use it!!!

I will disagree with the OP. I have used all versions of Windows starting from 98 to Windows 7 and in my opinion, Microsoft couldn't have done better than Windows 7. It is fastest of all and looks great too. Vista sucked for me. XP was okay too.

I went from xp home to win 7 premium and have been very pleased. My xp machine was getting old and slow though, so I see an obvious boost in speed in performance since the newer win7 computer has a better cpu. I haven't tried everything it came with, nor will I probably ever need to use some of it. The only complaint I have so far after about 4 months is occasionally when I turn the computer on all my desktop items/icons decide to rearrange themselves. This might not be a problem for most, but I have more than average on the desktop. I have them neatly arranged in a particular order than I need to do things. When they suddenly change on me, it is very time-consuming trying to put them back in order. So something simple like this creates a lot of work for me. It happens about 1-2x per month. Other than that I really haven't had any other problems so far.
