there are about 200 clones of this site already, the only reason they became popular is because they paid to be in the top pages of a major movie site database you will be waisting time by making a copy of this site, if you want to make a movie site, do something original. I have had 2 very sucessfull movie websites that i have sold i have one now that i get about 2000-3000 uniques per day but i also offer features nobody else has.
why do you think that portal cann't be dynamic site? As for me i would like to create without joomla and anyother service. Use php+html+dmtml+css+js+jquery(+flash) -> and your project will be the best!!!
