Keep posting new content... it brings eyeballs to your site, which increases traffic thus your Alexa ranking. Make sure that the content is original, high quality and is posted to the relevant social media sites.
Just to be honest dude, not very many people care about Alexa ranking because many people say it isn't a true indicator of how much traffic you get. For this reason, just focus on getting good quality traffic, everything else will fall into place.
I would agree with this.. I think that PageRank is more important because it dictates how often your site shows up in organic searches.
I did not know about this. I have always heard some of my clients mention that Alexa rank is just as important as regular page rank. So, if is not important, how come a lot of people believe it is?
Although I agree with what everybody said, advertisers still look at Alexa ranking to evaluate your site's potential to promote their products and services so it is still important....
I would highly recommended that one focus on developing quality content which attracts and maintains a large audience instead of purely focusing on artificially increasing your Alexa Rank.
The only thing that I have ever used Alexa for is comparing my site with others by looking at their ranking. However, I have seen in the past where a site that has a lower Alexa ranking still has a better PageRank than I do. With that being said, PageRank is much more important to me because the higher that number is the better my site shows in searches. The better flow of organic search that you have coming into your site, the better traffic numbers you will develop which will allow you to woo potential advertisers because you have quality targeted traffic.
increase visitors - plain and simple. Although, Alexa is useless as a stat and noboddy much cares about it.
Hi, Thanks for the replies. How much traffic is required to make the Alexa rank below 1 lac? Regards HZ
there are a lot of scripts and bots that can do this but some of them are a bit blackhat so you have to be careful what you use
I think this is great advice. You don't want to falsely improve your ranking, there really is no reason. If you are doing it to improve your sale price then you are going to be left with a very disappointed buyer.
Don't focus on rankings ... focus on content of your website. First of all visitors of your website has to be satisfied! They need to stay on your website and return back after some time. Improved Alexa ranking will not generate any profit for you. I expect 90% of Internet users never heard about it.
