For me, I think the basic is, put your URL in the place on internet world which you are staying, just like Hi5, facebook, email, Webboard profile.

This is basic, after that start to submit your site, go to community and promote your website.. and so on

 

If you are thinking for promoting your website across the globe, do the effective social bookmarking sites as delicious,mixx, digg, facebook, twitter and clipmarks and so so so.

 

Try to get some good, non-copetitive keywords...and put them as anchor texts for links in signatures, blog comments, etc

I have another question related to SEO of a site. I have a brand new site. It is based on Data Recovery Services. So I want to ask that can I go for Press Release option as a part of promoting the site. Will it be nice reading PR of a website in terms of the audience. Will people like reading the PR .
