Buying Serious Offshore Unmetered Dedicated Server needed

    Hey
    Am after some offshore hosting for my file host. It tries to be legit, but the nature of things are that users will upload stuff they don't own the copyright too. Ideally the host should be ok with that or at least ONLY tell me about the DMCA issues and not take action themselves.

    I want a serious server in a great datacenter. Looking better than a Tier I. Needs to be Unmetered. Needs to be at least 10Mb/s. Have a budget of around the $400 mark.

    what kind of specs you are looking at , with that budget it won't be tough to get a 1 giga port unmetered too.

    I'm after some pretty high end stuff but needs to be rack mount, 2 core+, 2-4GB ECC RAM, 250GB HD (possibly 2 in RAID). Datacenter needs to have power backup.

    Is that 10MB/s or 10MBit/s ?

    10MBit = approx 1.2MB/s
    100Mbit = approx 12MB/s

    That's probably a shared Unmetered GigE port with like 25 clients to it? If it's a dedicated port with dedicated bandwidth, would love to grab one at that price :) No pun intended.
