    Hi,

I am aproaching the limit of PM's ..
I need the PM's for record. I know that i can download my PM's in text cvs or XML. But does any one of you know how to read the downloaded PM's ? Is there any software i could use to do that?

I hope you understand what i mean.

Downloading them in text would just require wordpad or note pad
if you download them as cvs you can open then up in Excel

Yup i know that , but its sort of hard to find what we are looking for ..
I was in search of some reader that could do searches and show formated messages just like Vbulletin.

You can write your own stylesheet for the xml version and view it that way...

I can send you one, it requires some know how in php and mysql. It can do searches, and show history (chat history).

Its very basic and not flashy at all, basic formatting etc. and no design.

Also the messages aren't formatted correctly, I wasn't able to find the code for that. They are however plain text.

The search allows you to search by sender, receiver, subject, message, and within the inbox and or the send box.

There is an import setup to take info from the excel formatted export. It can do 495 at a time.

All you really need to do is setup the mysql database, and change a couple vars in the import folder.

    ----------------------------

If somebody can give me, or show me the code for the message parsing then I would likely upgrade the existing script to allow automatic importation/installation.

I just download them in CSV, and upload them to either gmail or google docs. That way I can easily search through them

Nice share Cameljourney, thanks. Used to do them on text files, and use the search function. They're cluttery though!

Better to have it in a notepad or a word document, which is easier, I feel than the XML.
