    Dear all,

I am in the process of remembering everything that I was taught/caught somewhere on web design topic, since I have been assigned to create a prototype for a rather simple company web site.

I was hoping to find a little help here, because there are so many questions, some I which I have trouble googling.

To the topic. I have made a rather simple design of the navigation bar in Illustrator. You can see it in the link below.

The question is: what is the best way to put this design in HTML (maybe with some simple javascript if required) so that the look of it would be just the same as on the image, but the links would be actualy text-based? I was thinking about making the graphics as the background, and having text embedded, but I am not sure how to do it properly.

I know I can use the slice tool in Illustrator, and assemble images as links. However I also heard this is not a very good practice.

I am using Dreamweaver as my HTML environment.

Thank you very much for your time and help.

    -Andy.
