Hi Guys. hope someone can help me on this. I have made a new site (not blog) and it has been about a month, but it is not yet index by google.
How can I get my site to be index quickly? Is it in the google sandbox or something?

I have submitted my site to googles, and try building backlinks.
    Submited XML to google.

    anyone got a quick technique?

You should create robot.txt and allow not disallow search engine like google, yahoo, bing to access your site. Try it now!

Yes, you should create a robots.txt file and if you not yet submit your site in Digg, do that.

Did you implement analytics on the site? In my opinion, the more services we use from Google on the site that we want to get indexed the better. Try to get more backlinks and see if a spider crawls you site.

Dont forget, as refered above, to have a good robots.txt file.

Well in my opinion, sites only don't get indexed if there is a problem with your site or the server it is hosted on. Otherwise sitemap.xml, robots.txt, sitemap.ror or .gz e.t.c are some of the technical tools for static to dynamic sites. Even bookmarking on digg, delicious, or stumbleupon is also a good technique but if you are experiencing low crawl rate.
The more the site is advertised through anchor links on websites which have high crawl rate, more likely your website will have higher visibility in search algos.
