Are you using Twitter to the max?

Yesterday I saw someone was using Twitter in PowerPoint. That's a really interesting story. And last week I came acorss Mashable and found people talking about how to use Twittertranslater to boost their micro blog in over 50 languages.

Think over it and you will get more ideas.

 

Twitter is being explored by marketers more and more because its free and can be very effective.....providing it is used correctly.

Thats where this report comes in. Basically people who do not 'get' Twitter just yet or who think it is just a time suck or a geek thing, will get a few nice surprises.

 

I'm starting to use Twitter even more now. It's a great!!

 

Twitter can also have a valuable link with your blog

 

Thanks for the report Barrywiki, I've just started using twitter and glad I have. I was one of the people who thought twitter was just a waste of time because you can stay on there forever but now I'm starting to learn how to utilize it, you should share information that is relevant and will interest your target audience. Follow people that interest you and usually they will follow you.

Yes twitter can be great for reaching out to a large group of dedicated followers to publicize your website, articles, other social media etc.

 

Twitter is really good for you traffic if you use it well, but it wont help your SERPs since all the Twitter links are no follow.

 

Twitter is a great marketing tool. I use it frequently and also sometimes the time is important.... Any suggestions of how to use it in a better way ...

 

yes i was using twitter pretty agressive and made good money but lets be honest. it doesnt take so long till the twitter hype is over. it will be overspamed soon and the twitter community gets bigger and bigger everyday that it makes it nearly impossible to check all and everything in the future.
i wont say a time but time will show...

 

So, how do I go about gaining more followers. I think at last count I have just over 200, with a good chunk of them being spammers.

Thoughts?

Its interesting that simple twitter seems to have drawn such respect from Google

 

But now there are more and more spams in Twitter. Everyone is trying to use Twitter for business purpose, even very good posts contain tricky ads. Sometimes very disturbing spams even adult contents make Twitter polluted. Yes Twitter is a great tool for marketing.

 

I'm trying to use twitter to generate traffic for my site. what suggestions do you have that can help me get targeted traffic?

I use twitter a lot and I benefit a lot from it.

 

not sure if I'm using it right, I'm kinda just randomly following "something"(news organization, celebrities, etc.), hoping I'd get somewhere lol
