Yes, a pretty simple one...but also one I couldn't find it the FAQ's... In the Add Keywords input box do you add one keyword at a time or many separated by commas? Tanx
In the keyword box you add one at a time (or a keyword phrase). If you click the Bulk Additions link you can add a bunch at one time like this: keywords1|URL keywords2|URL keywords3|URL Have fun! Branduin
I don't get how the whole system works then. If each keyword is tracked seperately then how does that relate to how the keywords are listed on my site?
Well, for each keyword and URL you enter the Keyword Tracker will track the Position/Rank in Google (and MSN/Yahoo). Here is an example: I have a Dr. Quinn website and I want to see how good it ranks for these keywords "dr quinn", "jane seymour", dr quinn dvds". So I enter this in the bulk additions: dr quinn|http://www.drquinn.us jane seymour|http://www.drquinn.us dr quinn dvds|http://www.drquinn.us (Make sure you get the "|" in between each one.) Then I run a check and it will tell me where my site ranks in the results if someone were to search for that keyword/phrase. So like if you go to MSN and type in "dr quinn" you will see my site in the #6 spot. This is shown in the Keyword Tracker and you don't have to go to the search engine and do a search to see where it comes up in the results. Obviously Dr. Quinn isn't a big keyword but I also use the tracker where I work. I would highly recommend trying it out if you have a site. Just start with a few words to get used to how it works and I'm sure you'll be adding many more in no time at all! Branduin
geekless, you just want to enter your base url (ie: http://www.domainname .com without the space) so that the system will pick up any listing for your site in the search results. You don't want to necessarily track it for a specific page on your site...unless you specifically want to do that. Not sure if that is what you are asking
