Must Read for all Sachin Tendulkar Fans!

    I have had this email content forwarded by my friend and feels glad to share with you all to hail Sachin!

    Time Magazine's quote on GOD

    When Sachin Tendulkar travelled to Pakistan to face one of the finest bowling attacks ever assembled in cricket, Michael Schumacher was yet to race a F1 car, Lance Armstrong had never been to the Tour de France, Diego Maradona was still the captain of a world champion Argentina team, Pete Sampras had never won a Grand Slam.

    When Tendulkar embarked on a glorious career taming Imran Khan and company, Roger Federer was a name still unheard of; Lionel Messi was in his nappies, Usain Bolt was an unknown kid in the Jamaican backwaters. The Berlin Wall was still intact, USSR was one big, big country, Ronald Reagan still in office, Dr. Manmohan Singh was yet to "open" the Nehruvian economy.

    It seems while Father Time was having his toll on every individual on the face of this planet, he excused one man. Time stands frozen in front of our Sachin. We have had champions, we have had legends, but we have never had a Sachin Tendulkar and we never will.

    Records are made to be broken ...but I doubt if sachin's records will ever be broken :)

    That's a nice article and quite true. I also agree that it would be very difficult, if not impossible, to break Sachin's records.

    Yes, we still can't rule it out as impossible theoretically, but considering the quick changes in the game format, it looks like many records will be in his name forever! :)

    @RightMan
    A die-hard man he/she must be to give that quote. It didnt read exaggerated at all just because it was about Sachin. I read in newspaper today and Nasser Hussain was quoted of saying that he'd rate Sachin better than Sir Don Bradman and that he feels sachin to be incredible for possessing same enthu to hold the bat after a journey of 20 long years.

    Indeed true right?

    Very good article about Sachin after his 200in ODI. I think Veru or Dhoni will break this record in coming years.

    In fact, in 2004-05, Sehwag had first said that he was aiming at scoring 200 in ODIs - immediately after that, he had lost his form and lost his place in the side as well!

    Pathetic for Sehwag. This time hopefully he'd look to give a statement with his batting. He is enjoying the peak of form, and once he's set he can set his sight at 200 and keep playing his natural shots. He should be the one to break Sachin's Double Ton record! :D

    Sehwag can definitely achieve this feat as he is known to stay long... once in, but it appears difficult for Dhoni to do so, particularly since he does not open the innings and does not get full 50 overs to play! :eek:

    Tendulkar scored his double century in the final over of the innings; I wonder, if Sehwag does get to his double century, in which over will he get to his double century?

    Btw, Belinda Clarke was the first woman to get to a double century in ODIs for women.

    I think Dhoni took lot of strike from 45th over and that I believe was strategically planned by MS to keep Sachin not out at 200.

    As regards Belinda Clarke, women's records go unnoticed especially because the sport is more enjoyed and played by men! Thanks for the information.
