hi mates i had a doubt while studying about SEO which one is worth of the following two? a link from page wick have PR of 6 ,.,.for example (www.example.com) (or) a link form page like this (www.example.com/branch.html) while the home page(www.example.com) only have the page rank 6 and not the sub-page(www.example.com/branch.html) form where im getting the link to my site
home page is the best if home page PR is less so no problem but put your link on home pages its more useful to inner page

you also need to look at the amount of outbound links....if the homepage has 50 outbound links and the inner page has 5....
I think a link from the home page is more worthy than a link on the inner page of the website. But inner pages links are also good and can help you rank good.
Off course home page is worth always and PR helpful to increase PR of your page. some time inner pages PR higher than home but it happens rarer so you have to decide which more important for yours.
Link form the home page who's page rank is higher than the inner pages is always good for indexing purpose....so index page high rank factor is mostly consider here

Well, that the facts choose home rather then inner page. Home page backlinks is much important instead of inner one. Basically its depends on the domain name that consists keywords & makes easy for Google visitors for search.
homepage......... But I am not sure it's good for your site, because it's risky... If you post your site link in to other site & that site will going to penalize from Google that time your site also going to black listed in Google. So, doing directory submissions....
