page listings disappear when widgets inserted

    i'm working on this new site (http://poolplayersforhire.com/wordpress/).
    i want to add a text widget (or any other widget for that matter) to the lefthand sidebar, to appear below the page listing. however, when insert any type of widget in the side bar, the page listing disappears.

    please advise why that happens and how i get it to stay. thanks!

    When you use a widget the default sidebar disappears. Just add the "Pages" widget as well.

    What do you mean by page listings? The menu? I think there are some themes that hide default sidebar once you activate a widget. You only have to add the menu widget on that sidebar for it to appear.
