Is it True Directory Submission can help to increase website traffic?

Can I Increase My Website Traffic Through Directory Submission. Please Suggest Me.........................

 

Not really!
I have submitted my sites in more than 5000 directories including DMOZ but all those submission does not worth more than oner backlink from each!

Although it might help to get you better PR it's almost impossible to get direct visitors from directories.

 

Not very likely to generate traffic, you really only submit them to them for PR and backlinks.

 

They assist your page ranking via backlinks but only if they have a good pagerank too and they are relevant.

 

They will help you get more back links, that mean better search ranks that mean more traffic = more money

 

You get very little, if any, traffic from directories. Even the most popular directories like Yahoo directory, dmoz, and botw probably won't bring you any more than a few hits a day.

 

As far as traffic directly from someone clicking your listing in directories, expect it to be near zero. If that's your only reason for directory submission, don't bother.

 

Directories gives you very less traffic but they give back link for sure..

If you'd say Article directories, It will but just normal directories -- It wont.. More likely it will help you increase your PR as the guy stated above

Mainly for backlink, but depends on the directory itself. My blog that I submitted to directories gets some traffic but not a whole lot. You do have to remember that web directories have hundreds if not thousands of categories and pages, the idea your site getting a click from someone is very low, but this does not mean that no one visiting those directories, just that your site is probably buried at the lowest category structures, if you pay for a premium it will be more exposed to the users and search engines, so highly recommend getting a featured listing or advertisement on the homepage if they allow.

Web Directories will provide you backlinks, backlinks will give your higher PR, higher PR will increase your chances at the top results, therefore increasing organic traffic to your Web site.
