Microsofts Facebook Type Site

Today i got a mail its was about http://www.wlplanet.com i think its microsofts try to enter social networking field..

I like it, I will like facebook to have many strong competitors,good!

 

I have seen this site a long ago.. It cant be match to FB. LOL

 

If Microsoft entered that field FB will have no reputition as it has Xbox360 (Can usethat site it as default Social Network)..,
Also It can use Bing, Msn in advertising...

 

I think it for teenagers but I am sure that it won't work and it is going to be a total failure.

 

As usual msft will drop the ball on something. They should just replicate FB model and push it on all their channels instead of making something "cool" (I use that term loosely)

Hmmm I never really got into myspace, its more for teenyboppers and americans..

 

Its look like fake type of interface! they should something special alike facebook! because globally Orkut leading recently Facebook overcome with its features!

 

It can be possible that microsoft is trying to enter the world of social media as the world of social media is fastly growing, And almost every body has already entered tha market, like Gogole, yahoo etc so why should microsoft stay behind.

 

Microsoft always try to enter late and fail most of the time, then again it could take off with them pimping it through hotmail and MSN.

 

They're trying to enter the social network niche like Google tried to with Wave,Buzz. I can guarantee that it's going to be the same outcome.

Why can't these search engine companies focus on what they started up with? SEARCH ENGINES.

it doesn't matter. People will flock to the social site that has the most people/site that their friends use.

Why would MS name a site "wl planet"? Sounds strange to me. Either way, major fail.

 

Its actually windows live planet... wl stands for windows live

 

It's a major fail, as clenard said. It's still new and unannounced officially, so they could work on it for a long time. No competitor for FaceBook though. Yet.
