    There are many online tools. Google analytics is the best one to analyze. Apart from it, you can get it on Quantcast- traffic details of US visitors and alexa.

    I'm using both analytics and sitemeter :D
    Definitely analytics is the best but sitemeter gives more details when tracking visitors :)

    create an account on google analytics, it will help for knowing traffic of a perticular site, it also tel u direct traffic and seo traffice and other traffic.

    for other websites try alexa or compete.com

    There are different ways to check website traffic, but in most scenarios you need to install a code on website page for which you are willing to see traffic stats. Like Google Analytics, Go Stats, Traffic Analyzer e.t.c. But you can measure a website traffic from Alexa by looking at the graphs.

    There are many online tools like statscounter, sitemeter, OneStats but agree with all above that google analytics is best tool to check your website traffic online.

    Google Analytics is the Best. Most of the other free site are not give accurate traffic status.

    I also works with sitemeter. Its good site. But unfortunately from last year it not showing accurate reports to me.. Not updating properly. Also they do not give support for free users.I have tried to contact them using support section.They will never replied.
