    Hi,

    I am going to build some links for my websites. Is directory submission still effective for SERPs and google pr? ( i read some news that it isnt effective anyway few months back).

    Any experts here care to share their experiences and advices?

    It's always good to have incoming links to your website. In some way, it means traffic. :)

    One way link exchange always prefer by Google & major search engines so do that its still a powerful technique to build up PR

    I believe it is still important to submit to web directories, but you should be careful when choosing the right one.

    It's very important to submit to directories. I know from bad experience as I have been lazy for a couple of years. :eek:

    Just don't turn it into a link farm as this can be a HUGE turn off and possibly a ban by Google.

    Yes it is still effective and will also be effective in future. It is recognized method of link building and every site should have dir. submissions in their overall SEO process.

    Yes directory submission is still working. It gives one way back links and it helps in getting good SERPs and in google PR.
