Index your new websites on Google with in 24 hours

Yes, that 'was' true. But unfortunately per day social bookmarking sites are becoming nofollow. So you must have to follow other ways too.

 

Remember search engines are nothing more than popularity contest judges. They index popular sites first because, well, they're popular, so more people will get the benefit of the index. If a popular site mentions another site, the search engine will say "hmmm" to itself and add the newly mentioned site to its database.

Use all these services and more (StumbleUpon, Reddit, and similar sites) if you wish, but the first three mentioned are plenty. You'll find Google pays very close attention to them and will add you to its database in well under 24 hours.

 

free classifieds and contributing to wikipedia is something that i didn't think of. That's something that I have to try. Just put a website up today, so it will be a chance to see how fast I can get it indexed.

I get my sites indexed in google pretty fast, but much of them still not getting indexed on Yahoo.. is this normal because usually its yahoo who faster on indexing new site.

 

for me also the same experience with yahoo. I tried always with both but succeeded to with google to get in fast. Yahoo always takes much time.

 

Do you really need to get indexed within the day? if you do the usual (digg etc) it will only take a couple of days...

In my opinion social bookmarking is currently the best way to get indexed within a couple of hours, and it works really well. It's indexed many of my blogs quickly, although it then takes time for it to be a recognized 'website'. In google.

 

Yes, social bookmarking is very powerful. But you've to be selective on the websites. Some sites work well than the others. And even for well recognized websites bookmarks on buzz, sphinn etc works great.

I don't think that sitemap plays some/any important role in getting our website indexed soon...
