Hey i need advice on improving my website

Well, for one thing the picture of the house is too big, taking a big portion of the display area when someone lands on your page. Yes, you do have the link to the actual sales page, but they do not stand out. If I were to do it I will make the 'Make Power Don't buy It' phrase to stand out more, maybe larger font with red color.

I will also try to put the phrase 'Finally revealed: The secrets to building ...' above the fold (area displayed when someone lands on your page without having to scroll down).

Your design is fine, you just need traffic - targeted traffic.

The average web user isn't going to be interested in energy sites, so you need to advertise your product where energy related conversation is happening.

Places to look at marketing/promotion;
Energy/Solar/Green Forums
green/environmental forums/blogs
solar power generation blogs

Try and get backlinks on sites which talk about green power, solar power etc.

In my opinion, this site screams, buy me buy me instead of what can I do for you. I would add more useful content.

Site design looks fine to me. Its all about "traffic" now.

Here are some quick tips.

1. Get yourself a dedicated server if you do not already have one. They are cheap. $30 per month for entry server.
2. Start Blogging with WP blogs to point back to your money sites.
3. Create backlink strategy. If you dont know how, go to many freelancer sites and hire a freelancer. 1000's are experts at this.
4. You can also pay freelancers $2.00 - $4.00 per article avg. for fresh content and then mix with OPC (other peoples content via rss feed automation.. hint hint) into your blogs..duplicate content is a myth.

So what the majority of you are saying the designs fine, just aim to get targeted traffic yeh?

 

If i were you i d do the following

Design
I d have the initial graphic of the house a bit smaller and have some more content displayed when the page is open in standard resulotion

Traffic
I d start the strategy of having back links through the following ways

- Back link tool
- Related Blog Commenting
- Through article marketing with links pointing back at my site

Regular updated content can also change the ranking of website so i d either have some content uploaded regularly plus i d have comments tab which visitors can use.

Video marketing is also a good thing, i d make a video of how to use my product and what impact does it have, put it on my site and youtube and market that.

Off line marketing is another dimension i d explore, i d put up some good adds in local news papers with contacts and see the results.

Try to figure out how to put in "how to save money" quick tips, and perhaps a few articles in there.

The more they like your site, the more they agree with what you are saying, the better your odds in getting a sale.

You're basically a salesman, so I would strongly suggest putting in a picture of yourself, along with introducing yourself.

I don't care if you are selling can openers, in this day in age, this is vital!

Tell a story about how you yourself is having a hard time paying all of the bills.

Tell a story or two of others who may be struggling, or who simply want to save more money.

Like Zig Ziglar, be a story teller!

Be vey personable. (Be a likeable human being first, a salesman second.) THEN talk about the product more in detail.

Glad to see it isn't one of those looooooong-ass sales pages.

Those do not work. Keep it short, and sweet.

ur site should have good bandwidth which automatically increases ur sites speed

for that u have to host ur website in a good hosting company like kvchosting,bluehost,justhost etc.

 

I like it but you need to make the images less intensive - maybe put them to png and use an online png optimisation tool such as http://www.imageoptimizer.net/Pages/Home.aspx

 

Should a put my story etc below the video or should i put the video lower down on the page cos i thaught it would the the video gaining customers intrests?

 

Well to me it just looks like a sales page
You could add a blog and put all your articles into the blog
Also need to offer something for free
Then you have to start your traffic generation strategy, which is the key ie
backlinks from youtube, articles, bookmarking, forum posting etc

 

Im thinking to doing a mailing list what do people think to this idea and yeh i think blog will be my next step
