Important Google Adsense RULES that a LOT of people FORGET

Discussion in 'AdSense' started by FavouritesBlog, Feb 16, 2010.

After surfing D.P's Google Adsense section for the last week or so ive noticed a LOT of members complaining of being banned, penalized or otherwise due to doing something against google's very very simple rules.

So, ive decided to compile a small compilation of important rules from google's site.

    The BIG Fat NUMBER #1

More than ONE Site per ACCOUNT #2
( Many assume that you cannot have more than one site per account, this not true. )
My Pin didn't arrive so i created a new account

Silly, Pin's can take up to 6-12 months to arrive in some countries ( mine took 12 months ). If your pin does not arrive within 6 months of when you requested it, send adsense an email via the help section.

If you can think of any tips/rules, feel free to contribute.

DO NOT EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER CLICK YOUR OWN ADS!!!!!!!!!!! Don't click them to make sure they are working, don't do it to test what money you receive. Google WILL find out and then you will get banned!

You MUST have a privacy policy on your site when using Adsense (I think as of April of last year or something??) When they visit your site to make sure you are following the rules you must have a link to a privacy policy.

Just like every other thread that starts out with the "important things" it all comes down to paying close attention and knowing and following the rules found in the two links in my sig.

Does it matter that the site I used to join up with is now offline but I use the adsense code with my other sites?

when you are adding images, make sure you not add them close to your ad. In case its necessary to have, pls follow the rules and, its very risky to have images that acts as enticement to click ads.

    Thank you.

Ernster Asks: "Does it matter that the site I used to join up with is now offline but I use the adsense code with my other sites?"

No, it does not matter, as long as your new site(s) offers some type of content. In other words, your new site(s) can not just be blank pages with adsense ads on them.

I know of a few people who thought content was automatically posting on their pages, yet it did not, and the only thing showing up was Adsense and few other words -- their Adsense Account was disabled. Who knows how the Adsense Quality people find out about these empty pages? (someone probably reported them).

DO NOT POST: "Click the Adsense Links", or tell your visitors to click the Adsense links in anyway. Your ad blocks should be identified as "Sponsored Links" in some way.

    HTH,

    Anne

How do you do this, javascript? Do you also know how you can make it so after X amount of clicks adsense stops showing?
