No, they are all completely worthless. People set them up to lure traffic from starry-eyed amateurs with no understanding of the business. I might as well set up a site where you can upload a picture of your baby and it will calculate how much money he will retire with.

I don't trust this sort of sites. The value is to high most of the time + the amount of visitors, etc isn't right.

The sites that you gave are useless. Estibot is one of the best appraisal tools out there but still there is no reason to make investment decisions based on some automatic stuff, this is just amateur. Some tools (Estibot and Valuate) provide extra information and you should consider those informations rather than the appraised amount.

Never invest based on some automated appraisal.

The best thing that a company like Estibot offers is information about the domain name, not the appraisal itself. For example it gives you related sales (IMHO the best indicator of domain value), search results, wordtracker, monthly search volume and cpc. It is a nice snapshot of domain name

Completely worthless. I love it when I see a website auction on here or Sitepoint and the seller is trying to sell their site for what one of these website calculators says it's worth. All the bidders' comments are hilarious! (i.e. they know those values are a total joke, and they don't mind telling the seller about it.)

Domain Valuation only gives you rough idea, it only checks certain specified alogarithm. But how much domain is worth depends on certain other factors also?

Don’t put too much faith in them, but estibot and valuate can be useful and do have their place as a very rough guide. But yeah if you want an accurate value of a specific site a professional appraisal is best, sedo have a pretty good reputation.

I think your site is only really worth what someone is willing to pay. I was told one of my health sites was worth around 5k, but never managed to sell it for that figure.

appraisals on a website or domain name are hard and not easy. Many factors play a role in determining the value as traffic, ranking, years on the internet, etc. I would not trust the appraisals for any site because websites and domains are like the stock market, value will increase or decrease as the factors change.
