Buying Web Hosting with Lots of Bandwidth and Good CPU

I am looking for Web Hostings for my website, Mypwo.org. It is basically a fan site for a Pokemon MMO. I am getting around 100k Visits a day, Use anywhere from 1-5 GB/Bandwidth Daily.

I don't need much space. Just a Good CPU and Lots of Bandwidth.

I would like to pay Yearly aswell. So please give me yearly prices, I don't want any brand new hosts. I'd really like a good Host thats been around for awhile

I'll take VPS Offers aswell... I don't think I can afford a Dedi but I should be able to get a VPS

Traditional shared hosting might prove to be an issue with the amount of visits you are receiving, depending if your site is dynamic/static (PHP vs HTML). I would also recommend a VPS if your sites are dynamic :)

I believe both of us are but there are many providers out there that would love to help you out, I'm sure there are some good deals in the BST section of DP ;)

how many concurrent connections do you get? with a 100k visitors, even a VPS may not be enough, especially if you require a lot of CPU power.

100k Visits a day? You should consider a dedicated server.

100K visits a day on shared hosting is like putting 100 people in a station-wagon.

    Yo hehehehehh :)

    but you`re right !

KingW, you should consider a dedicated server because for handling 100k visits a day if you get a vps, it will need to be a high end ! Your budget should be arround 100$.

There are many datacenters that are offering small servers for a reasonable price.

Always remember. Get your server directly from the source. Buy your server always from the datacenter or from a well-known reseller !

From customer point of view, paying yearly is dangerous, incase you break the TOS for example CPU usage, then your money will be gone.

    Anyway my CPU is Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9550 @ 2.83GHz.

And my host is new around 50 day old.

Even with VPS there is a good chance you'll get suspended for too much CPU usage. Only way you can be sure that CPU usage will NOT be an issue of suspension is a dedicated server.

What is your monthly budget for this project of yours? Once we know that we can suggest possible dedicated server sellers that you can review and make your decision.
