What plugin you using? this service does not use your shared hosting resources, it merely provides a complete rss feed, which you can be used in any plugin both the services are included, however, if you use wpmu, you can put in any number of autoblogs on that one domain, so you save domain money. plus, you can manage all the autoblogs from one page only. so very time saver. there are many many plugins i use, but most of the time, it is - wp o matic, feedwordpress, etc etc, however, the true magic is in the FeedEr service. not the plugins.
these are the main ones additional plugins like wprobot/wpanswers/tubepress/wpvideotube etc etc are also used as per requirements.
