GoArticles.com $50 to go "Featured" - worth it?

Discussion in 'General Marketing' started by Stu--, Feb 13, 2010.

I wanted to know if anyone has any experience being featured on GoArticles and whether it was worth the current discounted rate of $50 for 2 weeks?

If anyone knows roughly how much traffic it would generate this would be extremely helpful too. I'm looking to feature in the "Self Help" category.

I know it is but that wasn't the question. Ezinearticles do not have an offer like this. And if you knew anything about article submission you'd know that you don't just submit to one site.

Haven't tried it, but I don't think too much of these 'featured' articles. Better to just write a very good article and get published for free or spin and submit to tons others.

I don't think it'll really be worth it to be featured.

Just from looking at the featured article section, I can't see it being worth it. I see the current featured article in the self-help section has 16 views while most others have 0. While 16 is better than 0, 16 views isn't worth $50.

I'd rather put the $50 towards getting the article featured on a site where people are more likely to visit to read the articles.

i personally feel its not worth you $50, mainly because its an unmoderated site.

I can't imagine it being worth it. I don't doubt that goarticles gets plenty of traffic with legitimate readers interested in the articles posted there. However, I would be willing to be that the vast majority of their traffic is search engine traffic. This means that those visitors reading the articles are interested only in the topics that they are reading on, generally clicked on from search engine searches. Therefore, being featured doesn't mean much additional traffic to your article.

However, if you decide to invest and test it out, please let us know how it works out for you. ;)

You are much better off putting your money into some google PPC. Go articles does not have a very high bounce or view rate. Especially compared to its competitors. There are plenty of better ways to put your money.

You could spend the money else where and get a lot more ROI. Not worth paying $50 for a featured article which doesn't last long.

GoArticles.com require you to navigate their site previously to see the article. Delete all your cookies and reload your article to see for yourself. Assuming the visitors or search engine bots don't already have that cookie then it'll ask for captcha.

I don't think it's needed at all, so I'd say no...

    There are better options.
